Uncorked: Wine, Beer and Cocktails at The Lift

The Lift is a full bar first and foremost. Alongside the wine list above, we pour plenty of beers on tap, stock domestic and import bottles and hard seltzers, and mix well drinks, cocktails and shots all day. Whether you are after a cold pint during the game, a glass of Idaho red with dinner, or a round of shots for a birthday, this is the drinks side of The Lift at 4091 W State St, Boise.

Our Wine List

For a neighborhood bar, our wine selection goes further than most. Every wine above is available by the glass, and most by the bottle.

Whites

Chardonnay drinkers can pick between the easy-going Black Box Chardonnay, the tropical Kendall-Jackson and La Crema, with its notes of apple and sweet spice. Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand brings grapefruit and passionfruit, the Coppola Bianco Pinot Grigio is crisp and versatile, and Indian Creek White Riesling from Idaho is honeyed with a touch of sweetness. The house favorite is New Age White, slightly sweet and crisp, served over ice with a squeeze of lime. Once you try it on the patio, you will understand.

Reds

Our reds run from light to bold. Line 39 Pinot Noir offers raspberry and cherry, Dona Paula Malbec is spicy with a soft finish, and McManis Zinfandel from Lodi is earthy with black pepper. For bigger flavor, try 19 Crimes Cabernet or the Sawtooth Red Blend from Idaho, with ripe cherry and blackberry. The house red is fruit forward and a good value by the glass.

Beer: On Tap and in Bottles

We keep a lineup of beers on tap, and it changes from time to time, so ask your bartender what is pouring today. In bottles and cans we keep favorites like Coors, Coors Light, Bud Light, Budweiser, Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra, Corona, Modelo, Heineken, Stella, Olympia and Tecate, along with Angry Orchard and a range of White Claw flavors. Pitchers are $4 off every Thursday, and Tecates are $1.50 on Taco Tuesday.

Cocktails and Shots

The bar mixes the classics plus a few house creations. See our signature cocktails and shots for what the bartenders are proud of. On weekends from 10am to 1pm, Bloody Marys and mimosas are $4. In the warmer months look for seasonal drinks made for the patio.

Happy Hour Drink Prices

Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm: $2 off drafts, $1 off wells and $1 off wine. It is the best time to try a new glass from the list above. See every deal on our specials page.

Take a Bottle Home

Most of the wines above can be bought by the bottle to go, along with six-packs and twelve-packs of bottled beer. Call (208) 342-3250 and add them to a food order. A valid ID is required for all alcohol sales.

Tastings and Events

From time to time we host beer and liquor tastings. Our weekly trivia and music bingo nights are also a fun excuse to share a pitcher.

Pairing Drinks With Our Menu

Not sure what to order with your food? A few easy matches: a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio with fish tacos or the Cobb salad; Pinot Noir with the Turkey and Brie; the Malbec or Sawtooth Red Blend with The Lift Burger or the Black and Blue Bacon; and a cold domestic draft with wings and nachos, every time. At brunch, a $4 Bloody Mary with chicken fried steak is hard to beat.
