Every Tuesday, The Lift Bar + Grill turns into one of the best-value taco nights in Boise. Tacos are $1.50 each and cans of Tecate are $1.50, all day. It is the easiest mid-week plan there is: meet friends after work, order a few rounds of tacos, and stay as long as you like.
Our tacos come out of the same kitchen that makes the pork street tacos and fish tacos on the main menu: corn tortillas, fresh toppings and sauces we make in house. They are small enough that ordering three or four feels right, and cheap enough that trying one of everything is not a big decision. If you want a bigger plate, the Chicken Taco Salad and the nachos are both on the regular menu.
Taco night has been part of The Lift for more than a decade. Prices have changed over the years (you may still see older posts online mentioning $2 street tacos), but the idea has not: good tacos, cheap beer and a busy, friendly room. The current Taco Tuesday price is $1.50 per taco and $1.50 per Tecate.
Tuesday is just one night. Wednesday brings $1.50 wings with no limit, Thursday takes $4 off every pitcher, and Friday is $13 fish and chips. See the whole week on our daily specials page.
For one person, three or four tacos plus a side of chips makes a solid dinner. For a group of four, start with a dozen tacos for the table and add a second round once you see how fast they go. Taco Tuesday also pairs well with a few shareables from the regular menu, such as queso dip or the Idaho Tatchos, if someone at the table wants something different. And if you are there between 3pm and 6pm, drafts are $2 off, so the whole table eats and drinks for very little.
Taco night is one of the most family-friendly evenings at The Lift. Kids can build a plate of tacos, adults can add a Tecate or a draft, and the bill stays low. Families and groups are always welcome, and the patio gives everyone room to spread out in summer.
